What You Can Contact Us About
- Calendar corrections: an incorrect date, outdated release, or missing schedule change.
- District requests: a New York district you want us to add or update.
- General feedback: usability problems, missing features, or page suggestions.
- Partnership or media inquiries: site collaborations, data questions, or editorial references.
- Copyright or source concerns: requests related to content attribution, source handling, or removal discussions.
Reporting a Calendar Error
We take correction requests seriously because school date mistakes can affect childcare, travel, and family planning. For district-specific errors, the "Found an error? Report here" link shown on each district page is usually the fastest option. That form is easier for us to review because it follows a fixed format, can prefill some of the key information, and can accept supporting screenshots or PDF files.
If you are not on the relevant district page, you can also use our general correction form here: Calendar Correction Form. If email is more convenient, you can also send the same information to hello@nyschoolcalendar.com.
Please include:
- The URL of the page on our site
- The district name and school year
- What appears to be incorrect
- A link to the official district source, if available
- Any screenshot or PDF reference that helps verify the change quickly
Before You Email About a Date
If the page is labeled as projected, it means the district has not yet released an official calendar and the dates are estimates for planning purposes. In that case, the fastest way to confirm a final date is still to check directly with the district.
If you find the newly released official calendar before we do, sending it through the form is usually enough, especially if you can include the source link or upload the relevant file.
Requesting a District or Feature
If there is a district you want covered, or a feature that would make the site more useful, tell us. Helpful requests usually include the district name, the official school website, and what you were trying to find when the site fell short.
Partnerships, Media, and Licensing
For editorial references, site partnerships, licensing questions, or similar requests, email hello@nyschoolcalendar.com with a short description of the request and any relevant deadline. We review these messages manually.
A Quick Note About Response Time
We read incoming messages regularly, but we cannot guarantee an individual reply to every general inquiry. For correction form submissions or correction emails that include a specific page URL and an official source, we usually aim to review them within 3 business days. Submissions with clear documentation are the easiest for us to verify and act on quickly.
