The Plattsburgh City School District serves approximately 2,000 students in Clinton County, on the western shore of Lake Champlain, just 20 miles from the Canadian border. Plattsburgh is home to SUNY Plattsburgh and has a rich military history as the site of the Battle of Plattsburgh (1814) and the former Plattsburgh Air Force Base.
