The Potsdam Central School District serves approximately 1,800 students in the village of Potsdam, St. Lawrence County, in the heart of New York's North Country. Potsdam is a vibrant college town, home to both Clarkson University (a top engineering school) and SUNY Potsdam (renowned for its Crane School of Music).
Despite its rural North Country location, Potsdam benefits from a highly educated community shaped by its two universities. The district operates 2 elementary schools & Potsdam Central High School (the Sandstoners). Students benefit from university partnerships, including STEM outreach from Clarkson and music programs from SUNY Potsdam's Crane School.
