Ballston Spa Central School District serves the village and parts of Milton, Malta, Ballston, and Charlton. Gordon Creek, Malta Avenue, Milton Terrace, and Wood Road elementary schools serve children through fifth grade. Students then attend Ballston Spa Middle School for grades 6–8 and Ballston Spa High School for grades 9–12.
Young Scholars enrichment is available in grades 3–5, and students can begin band, orchestra, or chorus in fourth grade. High school options include Advanced Placement and college-credit courses. The Clean Technologies Early College High School combines high school study with college coursework through Hudson Valley Community College at its TEC-SMART location in Malta. For families arranging care outside school hours, the Ballston Area Community Center provides before- and after-school childcare and an evening teen program.
