The Tamarac schools are the educational home of Brunswick-Brittonkill Central School District, whose elementary, middle, and high-school programs share a Route 2 address near Troy. College study is one option for older students: Tamarac participates in Hudson Valley Community College’s College in the High School program for 2026–27, with college courses taught at participating high schools. Enrollment requires school approval and the college’s registration process, so college credit is a deliberate course choice rather than an automatic award.
Hands-on design activities also appear in science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics. A fall 2026 classroom project had students build and revise perches, practicing how to test an idea and make adjustments. Tamarac’s Key Club adds a community-service dimension: its October 2026 American Red Cross blood-drive invitation welcomed eligible students and local residents.
