Hamburg Central School District operates Armor, Boston Valley, Charlotte Avenue, and Union Pleasant elementary schools, followed by Hamburg Middle School and Hamburg High School. Academic intervention decisions draw on classroom work, teacher assessments, reading evaluations, and other evidence rather than a single test score.
At the high school, Advanced Placement choices include biology, calculus, computer science, English, and visual arts. Students can also take college-credit courses through SUNY Erie. The Academy of Finance is a three-year pathway for grades 10–12, with applications and selection during ninth grade. Participants study finance, accounting, and financial planning and complete a paid summer internship between junior and senior year. Students interested in music, science, or writing can also participate in school ensembles, Science Olympiad, and the Writers' Guild.
