Island Trees Union Free School District serves K–1 at J. Fred Sparke, grades 2–4 at Michael F. Stokes, grades 5–8 at Memorial Middle School, and grades 9–12 at Island Trees High School. Stokes offers individual and group counseling; children needing academic, behavioral, or emotional support may also be matched with a school-based adult mentor. English as a New Language teachers serve all four schools.
High school options include Advanced Placement courses, while secondary activities include music ensembles, theater, robotics, and science. SCOPE provides paid childcare for kindergarten through sixth grade, with separate registration and limited places. Morning care is based at Sparke. Afternoon care uses Sparke for K–1 and Stokes for grades 2–6, so childcare locations differ from school assignments for some children.
